Lemons and Pumpkins

Lemons and Pumpkins

Huzzah! Tis that time of year again, and we are so, so ready for it.

Our first pumpkin patch with Lemon was a hilarious opportunity to put her in her bandana and overalls, and watch her navigate the pumpkins. As a blind pup, she did awfully well. I think Jamie and I almost died when she attempted to climb them, when in truth we beamed as adoring parents. We got pumpkins for our home and for my office, and ate pumpkin pie as we continued our photo shoot. While we wished to eat, sleep, and repeat that day in the pumpkin patch, our next day was for the long awaited Northern California Renaissance Festival.

NorCal RenFest is truly a highlight of the year. It is the tipping point for all the holidays to come. You can run Amuck in fairy costumes, or speak Pirate all day. Or, if you please, dress and dance in Macabre, or help the wenches do their dirty laundry. I look forward to this place for its silliness while embracing the weirdness that we all possess. In truth, it is a place that people can be themselves while being others, and I look forward to donning on whatever I wish I could wear to work everyday, but cannot. Or rather, cannot without some serious explaination.
