Two women on their own continuous adventure, set out to inspire and document it here.

Toddler Glamping in Menocino

Toddler Glamping in Menocino

Camping at Mendocino Grove was our baby’s first time Glamping! While it was still a safari tent, with a heated bed, and she slept in her travel crib, it was still a step in the direction of camping. We read books before bed by lantern light, and she fell asleep to the sound of the ocean. From our tent we could see the Pacific, and watched sunset with wine. After Bronte slept, we played cards by the fireside. The air was so clean and crisp, and while on the chillier side for Jane, it was a fun escape for Bronte to run amuck amongst the trees and the pine cones.

Being in Mendocino makes one believe they have found everything they are looking for. Good shopping, warm coffee, locally sourced foods, brick oven pizza with live music, coastal trails and sea air, and hikes with unparalleled views of endless ocean. Just a few hours north of San Francisco, it is an escape that is equally hard to part from. The small town life is vibrant here, with enough bustle from nearby Fort Bragg.

We ate at The Brickery while Bronte slept, and once she woke up, the live band played “twinkle, twinkle, little star” for her. Another great spot we love to go to is Princess Seafood, because it is great food with no frills, a fun branded women-owned business, and you eat on the water. Bronte got intimate with Glass Beach, and wanted to climb on the broken rocks and cliffsides. We tried to watch the tide pools, but she insisted on being in the water herself.

It was a stunning weekend getaway for Jane and Jim, and we are so happy they could see such a special place.
