Indonesia Through Our Lens

To start, Indonesia is the world's largest island country. With more that thirteen thousand islands, it stands as the world's fourth most populous country. Basically, awesomeness on top of awesome with awesome drizzle. Tired of the tranquility of the island you're on? Need some danger? Hop on over to Komodo Island then. Oh? Too scary? Then swim with some sea turtles off the coast of Gili Air. Need a work out? Climb a volcano then, in Java. Or learn to surf in Bali. Want to create? Learn the art of Batik painting. Whatever or whoever you want to be, Indonesia is the place for you.

Indonesia was by far our favorite. Jamie always describes it as an adult outdoor playground. And she is not far off. You have to be independent, adventurous, and free to experience the treasures within this country, and be satisfied with hiking up Merapi at 1am, or climbing up Bromo during minor eruptions. And be okay with four days and no shower, and the only way to feel clean is to put on your snorkel mask and jump back into the water, searching for mantas or clown fish. Yes, it is true. The whole cast of Finding Nemo lives in Indonesia too.

Every single day spent in Indonesia was a rare gift, as each day brought its own flavor. Sometimes we could not believe we did what we did, yet the following day, we were excited to do it all over again.
