This is Halloween, Halloween, Halloween!
Maybe all the trials and the celebrations that we go through are meant to show us that family and friends are what fill up a greater part of our hearts. Maybe a greater part than we were aware of! In one quick, yet absolutely fabulous weekend to L.A., we celebrated Jamie’s birthday with many that have become family in our lives. Scott came up from San Diego, ready to start a new chapter in his life with a bang! In L.A. fashion, we got fancy and celebrated with dinner at La Boheme in West Hollywood followed by drinks and dancing at The Abbey with Emily, Alex, Brandon, and Chad. Our second day proved to be no less disappointing, as we woke up like little kids going to Disneyland. Because, we were going to Disneyland!
It was even more exciting as Kathy's mom, Debbie, came on a sporadic whim to join in the festivities. Pumpkin Mickey’s greeted us at the entrance, and Jack Skellington lurked at the Haunted Mansion. We watched the parade as we at ice cream and walked through the shops. With Buzz Lightyear we shot down the extraterrestrial vagabonds, and Debbie survived the horrors of Space Mountain with a pounding heart and wind-swept hair. Maybe it was the catching song of “it’s a small world after all” or the spinning of the teacups that made us giddy for more. It was such a wonderful weekend, and we have so many people in our lives to be thankful for! And, Jamie is now 30!!
