A Quintessential German Town

A Quintessential German Town

Lindau, Germany

Lindau is a place where one can roam for hours and experience the architecture, the colored buildings, and preserved traditions in a true, mindful, wander. Our steps led us from the spiral staircase of the lighthouse to Rapunzel’s tower, then across the stone streets to gelato. A friend of Philip’s owned a restaurant in a beautiful square, where we sat under colored umbrellas and drank beer.  It was a town you’d imagine to be a German town, should you’ve never been to Germany before. It had an old classic draw to it. A draw that even now pulls us back to that cold beverage in the square and the walk about town with ice cream cones. The day we spent in Lindau was amazingly relaxing, which when on vacation, at least for us, comes few and far between.
