ageless skiers in Tahoe
We take Christmas and birthdays seriously. And in some way, we hold every holiday to the same celebrating standards. This past Christmas Jamie purchased flights for her parents to visit, and booked a cute cottage in Lake Tahoe. Jim was turning 62, and we though nothing could be better than him learning to ski! Not many people, especially here in Northern California, ski for the first time at the beautiful ages of 62 and 59, but the Perin's did and we couldn't be more proud. Besides the joy of spending time with her parents in a winter-wonderland, we commenced skiing with an excited energy. Jim and Jane took ski lessons in the morning and by mid afternoon they got on a lift and when down their first hill. A little bit of stumbling and some wipeouts, but still all smiles.
It was such a special experience. The snow couldn't have fallen over the mountain tops in a more serene way and the blue sky seemed boundless. We ended our Tahoe trip with a hike along the lake, and it was hands down, the most amazing hike we've experienced in winter.
Till next time Tahoe...
