First Snowboarding Trip of the Season
A White Christmas for those in San Francisco equates to a White Tahoe. While Christmas morning holds its own special magic, the excitement for snow is anticipated in every week's forecast of rain. Rain means snow in Tahoe, and makes every San Franciscan squirm like a child waiting Christmas morning.
Bould Design every year feeds our childish imagination with a trip to Tahoe, and thus began the start of our snowboarding season! We giddily turned into the lodge, where we were met with a stone fireplace, wooden beamed ceilings, a roomy kitchen, a pool table, and a remarkable view of the grand lake. We woke up early, eager to test the snowy slopes, and made our way to Mount Rose, a small and quaint Ski Resort. Many of us battled sniffles, lack of practice, the fears of falling (last year was brutal for some), and the part where we really dont know what we're doing! And yet, we met Mount Rose with excitement and enjoyed a sunny, snowy day on the mountain.
The rest of our trip included naps, fireplaces, books, popcorn, incredible dinners, hiking Eagle Rock Trail, and the Olympics. It was the perfect beginning to winter in San Francisco, and like most others, we will be doing our rain dance regularly, for the sake of snow!
See you next week, Tahoe.
