Zicht sounds like Licked
When you think of a perfect wedding, the only thing you can hope for is to walk away with a sense of wholeness and contented happiness. Meredith and Tyler picked a beautiful getaway in the Smokey Mountains that was the location of a wedding of that description. The ease and comfort of the lodge stood next to the breathtaking views it also afforded. Everyone was there to celebrate them both, and to enjoy the atmosphere of being all under the same roof.
The wedding began, I had the special privilege to be front and center. As officiant, I got to straighten Tyler’s tie and give him one last hug before going to see Meredith as she waited patiently with her parents and three adorable flower girls. Individually, the bride and groom were beautiful. They had an anxious and excited glow about them, and as they stood under the chuppah, I was reminded how authentic and ADORABLE they are as a couple. The actual ceremony went smooth, sweet, and had all the energy of an intimate wedding. There were bloopers and hick-ups for sure, but they turned out to add to the fun and enjoyment of the ceremony. Nothing could ruin such a wonderful moment - not even saying the wrong names - which did actually happen… twice. None the less, it was a perfect wedding.
The wedding turned into a dance party on the porch, and everyone kicked off their shoes and grabbed candy apples baked beautifully by Tyler’s mother. At the dinner we heard speeches full of love and laughter, and the bar had an assortment for every palate. What we will remember most, is the weekend getaway that was a celebration of Tyler and Meredith’s union. It was a weekend that we relished in the home cooked foods which we could not be more thankful for of the kindness of both families. Many people went at their own pace, and a group of us went Zip-Lining through the blue ridges of the mountain range itself. It was a beautiful activity between cousins and siblings, and we got to watch Gabi shake in her boots. The amount I got to squeeze Conor was just right, and dancing with Jamie into the late hours was all I could ask for. It was a wonderful weekend.
To Mr. and Mrs. Licked……..I mean Zicht!!!
