A Very Perin Christmas
One unique event happened this year in Ohio: the baby shower. Only for Jamie and I, this event came in threes! We had three entirely different, incredibly thoughtful baby showers: one at the Perin residence, one with the Hull family, and one with the McCarty family. For the Perin baby shower, we got to eat and be merry amongst fun Christmas decor and delicious food. A Christmas tree full of baby socks, custom made chocolate bars, and homemade egg nog. My friend April flew in for the event, and stayed for my birthday as well. A snow blizzard came on December 18th - it was a birthday miracle.
For the Hull baby shower, we rented a room at Dublin Pub. Mom decorated the tables with santa hats, and we had an adorable custom cake for the occasion. Everyone loved the beef boxtys, pretzels and beer cheese, and shephards pie - a proper Irish celebration. At the McCarty baby shower, Julia made a wonderful tea selection, homemade holiday cookies, and a warm, loving environment for many of my family and friends. We are so, so thankful for what our family did for us to celebrate the coming baby. We love you all.
But Christmas in Ohio was amazing this year. Not just because of the many parties and get togethers, but we were able to relax and enjoy the trees, the fireplaces, and quaint family time. We wrapped and unwrapped presents, played Euchre late into the evenings, enjoyed nephew time, and had walks in the snow. I absolutely love coming home for the holidays, and am so excited to bring that tradition to our baby-to-be.
