A Kill Bill Kind of Halloween

Halloween this year was one for the books. Besides being in Los Angeles, partying at the Ace Hotel, catching some sun at Venice Beach, eating freshly baked donuts, and admiring brightly colored street art, Jamie finally lived out her inner Uma. 

Visiting Emily and Alex in LA is always an amazing time, especially when they join your Kill Bill squad for halloween! For years Jamie has been told she looks like Uma Thurman, so she embraced it. Hence, Beatrix Kiddo, Elle Driver, Gogo Yubari, Buck, and a Crazy 88 member was born.  Like our costumes, our halloween setting was perfect. We watched an orchestrated 1946 version of Beauty and the Beast held at the theatre in the Ace Hotel followed by a monster ball with lavish costumes, gothic decoration, a rooftop pool, and a dance floor filled with smokey effects and colored strobe lights.  Reenactments happened all night long, to the point where we woke up sore the next morning and Jamie's pants ripped because of her eagerness to do 'high' kicks! Ha, why can't halloween be extended to a week long celebration?!

We ended the weekend surfing in Malibu with warm waters and dolphins in sight. Amazing.... we know :)
